Our Journey
As Textile Sciences students at NED University, both co-founders had studied composites and their applications. Having a knack to do something different and innovative, they realized the potential & the necessity of composites in Pakistan. This realization marked the beginning of GEN-C, a startup dedicated to revolutionizing composite fiber-based solutions.
Over the years
Like any startup, GEN-C faced its fair share of challenges. Finding the right materials, successfully developing a functional prototype and proving ourselves as a next generation innovative startup were among the early hurdles. However, their dedication to research and innovation helped them stand out. Instead of relying on conventional, experience-based manufacturing, GEN-C developed efficient, research-driven techniques to produce sustainable, cost-effective & high-performance composites.

GEN-C is more than just a business, it’s a mission to revolutionize local manufacturing and promote sustainability. By reducing reliance on imports, supporting local industries, and producing eco-friendly solutions, GEN-C is playing a vital role in reshaping the future of composite technology.
With a growing market presence, ongoing research, and a commitment to sustainability and innovation, GEN-C is on a path to becoming a leader in composite fiber-based solutions—not just in Pakistan, but on a global scale ان شاء الله.
Recognition & Achievements
GEN-C quickly gained traction and recognition, proving its potential through multiple awards and incubations:
Shell Tameer Awards – Top 5 Finalist, Outstanding Pitch Award, and a PKR 25,000 grant.
Registered with SMEDA, fully funded by Shell Tameer.
Incubated at NIC & ORIC Karachi as a high-potential startup from NEDUET.
Winner of NEDAASC, securing a PKR 85,800 grant.
Showcased at the Research & Technology Expo 2022 at the Expo Center, Karachi.
National Idea Bank 2022 – 1st place in the Automotive Sector, 3rd overall across all sectors, winning a PKR 100,000 grant.
Selected for IBA CED Class of 2024, further strengthening its position as a startup of the future.
